Hidden Valleys Rafting specialise in New Zealand rafting journeys, with options to suit everyone. From tranquil river drifting through to the thrill of grade 4/5 rapids, spectacular helicopter rides into the rivers we raft or a combination of an alpine crossing with a rafting experience - you tell us what you want and we will make it happen, it’s that simple.
Founded in 2000 by Grant South (Southy), Hidden Valleys has a passion for combining unlimited adventure with breathtaking scenery. Our guides are local, loyal and dedicated professionals with a depth of experience both nationally and internationally.
From 2023 the business is headed by Dylan Card. With over 10 years of experience rafting across the globe, Dylan looks to continue the philosophy and vision that Southy instilled over 20 years ago.
The staff all share the same values, enthusiasm, and commitment to bringing you rafting at its best and sharing the ‘hidden valleys’ of New Zealand with the world – it’s what we know and what we love.
We are audited by Adventure Mark and a NZ Rafting Association member. All our guides are qualified. In addition, our guides are credible industry leaders who were involved in setting guide standards.
